Terms of service

Last updated: October 2026

These terms apply when you buy from www.eglsports.co.uk as a consumer. Please read them before you order. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.

1. Who we are

EGL Sports is a trading name of Outdoor Leisure Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16108291. Our registered office is Unit 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Lytchett Matravers, Poole, BH16 6FA. Our VAT number is GB 485453363.

You can contact us by email at info@eglsports.co.uk, by phone on 01202 028448, or by WhatsApp message on 07960097568 (messages only). Customer service hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

2. Placing an order

When you place an order you are offering to buy the goods on these terms. We will email you to confirm we have received your order. A contract between you and Outdoor Leisure Ltd is formed when we despatch your goods.

Occasionally we may be unable to accept an order, for example because an item is out of stock or there was an obvious error in its price or description. If that happens we will tell you and refund anything you have paid for it.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT. Delivery charges, where they apply, are shown at checkout before you pay.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and Klarna. Payment is taken when you place your order.

We take care to price our products correctly. If we find an obvious pricing error after you have ordered, we will contact you so that you can choose to pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

4. Delivery

UK delivery

We offer free delivery on orders over £50, which takes 2 to 4 business days. Other delivery options and their costs are shown in your basket once you have added your address. Our order despatch cut-off is 1pm.

Some items are excluded from free delivery because they must be sent by a specialist carrier, or are bulky or heavy. Special orders, sale items and items supplied direct from a manufacturer might also be excluded. If the delivery cost is any different from what was quoted at checkout, we will always ask you before we despatch or charge.

Delivery outside the UK

We also deliver outside the UK. The delivery options and costs for your address are shown at checkout. Orders sent abroad may be subject to import duties and taxes charged by the destination country; these are not included in our prices and are your responsibility. Some products cannot be sent to some countries, and if that affects your order we will contact you.

All deliveries

Delivery times are estimates. If we cannot deliver within 30 days of your order, and have not agreed a different date with you, you may cancel and receive a full refund.

The goods are your responsibility from the time they are delivered to the address you gave us. You own them once we have received payment in full.

Full details are on our delivery page.

5. Changing your mind

Our 30-day returns policy

If you are not completely satisfied you can return new goods within 30 days of the day you receive your order. Items must be unused and in their original condition, with packaging and tags still attached. Under this policy, sealed products such as electronics cannot be returned once the seal is broken.

Please book your return online before posting and include a copy of your delivery note. The return address and instructions are on our returns information page.

You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us, unless they are faulty or not as described. Please get proof of posting, as the goods are your responsibility until they reach us.

Your legal right to cancel

Our returns policy is in addition to your legal rights. Because you are buying online, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of the day you receive the goods, without giving a reason. To do so, tell us clearly by email or phone that you want to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back, at your own cost.

If you cancel under this right we will refund the price of the goods and the cost of standard delivery, if you paid for it, within 14 days of receiving the goods back. If you chose a more expensive delivery option we only refund the cost of standard delivery. We refund using the payment method you used to order.

You may handle the goods as you would in a shop to check them. If they have been handled more than that and have lost value as a result, we may reduce your refund to reflect it.

The legal right to cancel does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised, or to goods sealed for health protection or hygiene reasons once they have been unsealed after delivery.

6. Faulty or misdescribed goods

We are under a legal duty to supply goods that are as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If something you buy from us is faulty or not as described, contact us as soon as you can and tell us what is wrong; photos help us deal with it quickly.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you may be entitled to reject faulty goods for a full refund within 30 days of receiving them. After that, you may be entitled to a repair or replacement, and to a refund or price reduction if that does not put things right. We will cover the reasonable cost of returning goods that are faulty or not as described.

These rights do not cover fair wear and tear, accidental damage, or damage caused by misuse or by not following the manufacturer's instructions. Any manufacturer's warranty is in addition to your legal rights.

7. Using our products safely

Watersports and outdoor activities carry risk. Please read and follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidance for every product, including maximum load and pressure limits, and check the conditions before you go out. Buoyancy aids and other safety equipment must be the right size and type for the person and the activity.

We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can. Colours may look slightly different on your screen, and sizes and weights are approximate unless stated otherwise.

8. Our responsibility to you

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for breach of your legal rights in relation to the goods.

We supply goods for domestic and private use. If you use them for business purposes we have no liability to you for loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. If such an event causes a substantial delay we will tell you, and you may cancel and receive a refund for goods you have paid for but not received.

9. Your personal information

We use your personal information as set out in our privacy policy.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything, please contact us using the details above and we will do our best to put it right.

11. Other important terms

These terms are governed by English law. You can bring legal proceedings in the English courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in the courts where you live. If you live outside the UK, you may also have rights under the consumer protection laws of your own country, and these terms do not take those away.

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on this site when you place it.
